The city ferry is the pride of Fredrikstad Municipality. By combining the identity of Fredrikstad Municipality and the city ferry on the signs, one clearly communicates cohesion and ownership. The ferry color is Red. By combining color, logo and destination, the signage of the ferry terminal will be further linked to the ferry vessel itself. By using the pole for the digital light boards as sign holders (with one exception), it also becomes clear that the red sign is linked to the ferry terminal. A new ferry map has also been developed for the sign program that links the ferries to the city’s design along the Glomma. The expression is stylized by using repeating angles and curves, but still seeks the original shape of the riverbank. The ferry route has been given a circular rhythm and shows the ferry gracefully 'dancing' through the city and making a circle at each ferry terminal.
